How to request deletion of your personal information — including data we access through the Meta Platform on a client's behalf.

1. Your right to deletion

You have the right to request deletion of personal information that SalesGenius Inc. holds about you. This applies to information we have collected directly — such as contact details and billing records — as well as information we have accessed through the Meta Platform (Facebook, Instagram, Marketing API, Graph API) when operating advertising on a client’s behalf.

Where data we hold belongs to one of our clients (for example, leads from a campaign we run for a real estate agent), we will direct your request to that client, who is the controller of the information. We will also help facilitate your request as their processor.

2. How to request deletion

Choose the method that fits your situation.

  • Email us directly. Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line “Data Deletion Request.” Tell us who you are, the email address or Facebook user ID associated with the data, and what you would like deleted. We will reply with confirmation of receipt within 7 business days.
  • If you are a SalesGenius client — disconnect our app. Open Facebook, go to Settings & Privacy → Settings → Business Integrations, find SalesGenius, and remove it. This revokes our access to your Meta Business Portfolio. We will automatically delete the associated access tokens and cached Marketing API data within 30 days, with no further action needed from you.
  • If you submitted a contact form on salesgenius.co. Reply to the email thread we started, or email [email protected] referencing your submission, and ask us to delete your record.
  • If you became a lead through one of our clients’ ads. The client running the ad is the primary holder of your information. Contact them directly. If you are unable to reach them, email us at [email protected] and we will help connect you to the right place and remove the data from any of our systems where it appears.

3. What happens next

Once we receive your request, we will:

  • confirm receipt within 7 business days;
  • verify your identity (we may ask for limited information to confirm we are speaking to the right person);
  • identify all personal information about you in our systems, including any cached Meta API data;
  • delete that information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records by law (such as financial records under Canadian tax law, which must be kept for seven years); and
  • confirm completion in writing, telling you what was deleted and what (if anything) we are required to retain and for how long.
